For this project, we were tasked with branding affordable wireless sports headphones to undercut main competitors in the Amazon marketplace. Photos and branding took inspiration from and were consistent with leading brands on the "best sellers" page. Our aim was to communicate the sweat-proof feature in relevant, high-quality lifestyle shots.

For the main hero photos, we varied light from left to right to give a dynamic representation of the matte texture. We originally shot the headphones in silver and it looked great. When the color changed completely to black, we insisted on reshooting instead of photoshoping the silver part to black.

Takeaway: If your photos are manipulated in any way, you run the risk of the customer consciously or subconsiously believing your product is as inauthentic as the photo. Make sure it's a damn good job.
